The European Chips Skills Academy - the go-to hub for everything skills-related in the world of chips

The ECS-Academy Start page - European Chips Skills Academy (chipsacademy.eu) is a 4-years ERASMUS+ project (Oct. 2023 – Sep. 2027) with the total budget of 4 M € and 18 international partners, including TU Dresden and Silicon Saxony. ECSA aspires to become the go-to hub for everything skills-related in the world of chips, shaping the future of education in the electronics and microelectronics space and opening new opportunities for collaboration between educational institutions at all levels – EQF level 3 to 8 (secondary school, VET providers, and higher education) and industrial leaders, including joint programmes, internships, summer schools, etc.
It is dedicated to providing skills anticipation backed by hard data, which will then inform initiatives around upskilling, reskilling, and matching. But that's not all – ECSA is also set to bring together a wide range of key players in the microelectronics ecosystem for the first time. The European Chips Skills Academy consists of two key components: the ECSA E-learning platform (launch: July 2024) and the ECS Academy. A wide range of courses will be available for free online covering beginner level topics aimed at new students to the field up to higher level technical material for PhD levels. The platform offers features such as community engagement, gamification mechanics, and mobile learning, making it a comprehensive solution for upskilling and reskilling individuals across various education levels. In the presentation, you will learn about the aims of the project and how companies can use the platform to re- and upskill their employees, students and career changers.
