The Amazon Development Center in Dresden, Germany, was established in 2013 and is responsible for the development and support of the Amazon Linux operating system running on almost every Amazon Server worldwide. The Dresden-based teams also participate in the development of the Amazon Nitro technology that partitions large servers into smaller virtualized hosts which we offer to our customers as Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 instances.
