HR & Education Island

HR & Education Island

At the HR & Education Island, everything revolves around the appreciation of skilled workers and supporting their entire life cycle from elementary school to retirement. In a varied program, we will be looking at ideas to inspire young talents and provide career orientation. We want to present exciting approaches to personnel development to promote the skills and competencies of employees. We will also discuss the challenges of recruiting and retaining skilled workers and look at promoting diversity and inclusion. This is playing an increasingly important role for our industries, particularly with regard to attracting international talents. We would like to address the importance of leadership for the success of the company. The digital transformation of the HR work will also be discussed. We look forward to receiving numerous exciting submissions on these topics.

Recruiting has become a supreme discipline of entrepreneurship. Well-trained and motivated skilled workers are in short supply, the demands on the dream job are becoming ever higher. Small and medium-sized enterprises, not infrequently from rural areas, are in direct competition with attractive start-ups and international corporations in attractive urban centres.

It is clear that HR departments must optimally position their companies in terms of recruiting now at the latest. But what does that mean exactly? What do efficient, but above all effective recruiting formats look like? How do companies stand out positively from the competition? What makes tomorrow's generation of skilled workers tick? Which messages reach the target group and which channels are worth using?

At the 17th Silicon Saxony Day, we will address the most pressing questions of HR professionals and provide answers and the urgently sought-after talents.
