New opportunities for quality assurance through hyperspectral vision

Quality assurance as an elementary component of production processes in semiconductor manufactur-ing and surface finishing often cannot cover all desired requirements. This manifests itself in mere spot checks, time-consuming subjective visual inspections or even the complete abandonment of quality assurance measures for lack of suitable inspection technologies. DIVE technology combines the ad-vantages of classical imaging with the chemical-physical analysis capabilities of optical spectroscopy, coupled with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) methods to analyze these large amounts of data. This makes it possible to "see" and thus qualify or quantify previously inaccessible properties of surfaces. Based on Hyperspectral Vision technology, DIVE offers integrated solutions of hardware, software and services for quality assurance of high-performance surfaces and high-tech layers or thin films.
