Energy-efficient AI for smart sensors

The integration of advanced signal analysis methods close to the measurement data acquisition offers numerous advantages. The locally obtained results can be used directly for automation in a very energy-efficient way and without using a network connection. This enables innovative applications in medical technology, e.g. an ECG evaluated directly for the patient, or the realization of condition monitoring for components in mobile machine tools, robots or other autonomous systems. As an example, the project "Lo3-ML", which emerged as a winner in BMBF's "KI-Sprunginnovationswettbewerb", is presented.
